Toady was relatively simple, we practice planned our backpacks as if we were to go backpacking. Its almost like hiking, except you stay in the woods, and everything you should need is on your back. My partner and I were able to calculate everything we would need for the next 15 days if we were to travel 45 miles, traveling 3 miles a day. The total amount of supplies we would need would be a total of 80 pounds, split between the two of us is 40 pounds each. We were even able to physically simulate the weight with practice backpacks.

It was definitely more than I expected! After lunch, we watched a movie about a man who was dropped in Alaska and ended up with his views of life completely changed by a pack of wolves he was studying. It really got me thinking, if one were able to survive, could the solitary confinement of the wild do this to a person? It almost makes me want to try it...almost.
